Our Services
At Team Up, we offer more than mentoring programs—we offer students a consistent community to stay with them over the long-haul.
OUR PROGRAMS
At Team Up, we offer a place for kids to thrive. We believe that the most transformative gift we can give a child is that they won’t have to walk alone. From the moment a child enters Team Up (age 3+), we commit to walking beside them and their family through high school graduation.
This long-term continuity is the heartbeat of our Student Life program. Whether it’s through the foundational safety of Elementary Mentoring Nights, the empowerment taught in the Teen Leadership Academy, or the fun throughout Summer Camp, our students can always have a consistent community that walks with them.
Our mission is stewarded by our dedicated staff and a team of volunteers who choose to show up week after week, year after year. Because of our incredible community, all of our services are offered at no cost to kids or families, sustained entirely by the heart and generosity of our sponsors and donors.
Elementary Mentoring Nights
Teen Leadership Academy (TLA)
These nights are a safe space where teens learn to navigate life’s challenges, make healthy choices, and step into their own identity rooted in strength. For a teen who has walked a difficult path, the bravest thing they can do is learn to trust again and the hardest thing they can do is dream bigger than their current circumstances.
While we take our teens on field trips, host career workshops, share weekly meals, offer homework help, and promote plenty of healthy competition through games, we center everything around the relationships we build, not just the activities we do.

Summer Camp
For many of our kids, the end of the school year can mean the loss of crucial routines and consistency. Our Summer Camp is designed to be the bridge that connects the school years, helping kids stay in a healthy rhythm.
It’s more than just a series of trips; it’s a way for our kids to stay in relationship with their mentors and Team Up family all summer long. From the quiet moments at sleep-away camp to the sun-soaked days at the beach, no camp week is ever the same! Our TLA takes it up a notch, giving teens the opportunity to attend a camp held at a local college focused on substance abuse prevention.
Whether we are cooling off at the pool, exploring the zoo and botanical gardens, or feeling the rush of Six Flags and trampoline parks, kids of all ages look forward to each summer with Team Up!

Team Up Mentoring supports students in the context of their families and communities. Our trauma-informed staff are trained to notice needs as they arise and to respond with care, connection, and appropriate support—ensuring students and families never feel alone.
THE TEAM UP WAY
We create a space where students build lifelong resilience through healthy relationships and life skills.
While the effects of trauma can be significant, we know that creating a safe, trauma-informed environment for students to connect with healthy adults can reduce the effects of trauma and foster resilience. Everything we do comes together so that kids and their families can build resilience even after experiencing significant childhood trauma.
In a world where challenges often define our paths, people like Arkeivvia stand out as symbols of resilience, empowerment, and the transformative impact of supportive environments. Her story is a testament to her determination and the nurturing space that Team Up Mentoring helped cultivate, allowing her to flourish and inspire greatness.

ROOTED IN COMMUNITY
Volunteer mentors foster trust, build self-esteem, and help kids develop resilience and confidence.
The role of a youth mentor at Team Up Mentoring is a caring adult who offers guidance, empathy, and a positive influence in the young person’s life. They often become a consistent and reliable presence, offering support and encouragement as the young person faces challenges and works towards their goals.
Volunteer Locally at Team Up Mentoring
